Default sluggish?

Hmm it might just be me but idk my car feels likeits going a little sluggish... like ill be at 2400rpm and hit the gas harder and it'll feel like what youd expect from undershifting.. that slow buildup. Is that like just me or could it come from breaking in my new engine wrong? or something totally else...

i geuss im just paranoid[&o]

Your first post you said "breaking in my new engine"

Did they build it back to factory spec? Did they change the pistons, cam, etc?

You can always take it in someplace local and have it dyno-tuned. They usually run about $90/hr (in Southern CA). No place should take longer than 3 hrs to completely tune.

Good luck!

Why are you running a new engine hard anyway? That's why it's called "break in" because you're supposed to take it easy.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the intial break in period 20 minutes for the rings to set?

The only time I was told to run a motor easy was in my Lotus, I had to drive it under 3500 RPM for the first 1000 miles. That was the longest 1000 miles ever. It seemed like every EVO and WRX STI in town was out that weekend

My recent 383 motor in my 68' didn't have any special "break-in" instructions?
