Default Slid into curb.. Scary! With pics

On my way home today (doing about 30mph) I skidded and did a 180. I wound up hitting the curb on the other side of the road and damaged my wheels. The car is fine.

The passenger rear tire/wheel seemed to get the most force, but I will need to replace both the front and back passenger rims, and probably the tires too. Anyone ever do this in the past? How durable are the suspension components/rear axle? I ordered two replacement rims tonight on eBay, thankfully they aren't that expensive.

I've done it before. I felt like an idiot after. I cracked two wheels and offset my rear end. All I needed to realign the rear end was an adjustable panhard bar.

Well I took a direct hit on the front wheel when I got T-boned and it took out the spindle and upper arm. I got hit pretty high compaired to your hit. My lower arm took the hit pretty good but you could see where the bushing caused a little damage. My lower arm still measured out the same as the passenger's side did so I reused it. As for the rear your panhard arm prolly is toast and a new one is needed. They are the same from 82-02 but I would try to get the newest one you can, or a stronger aftermarket one from BMR or UMI. Once the bar gets replaced make sure you get an 4 way thrust alignment. They cost a little more but will let you know if you have anything else bent.

On and you may have a bent axle as well. My friend had a spring perch break and it spun his Z28 around and tagged a curb bending the axle.

That sucks man. Could have been worse though. You could have had some c5 rims instead of those salad shooters.

There's full set of wheels straight off of a C6 Corvette in my area for $375.
