Ok so for sometime i have been thinking of gettin a bra for my ss it is red on black rims so i figured it would fit right in with that scheme but my question is would it do any damage to the paint on my front clip? I was just thinking i would do a detailed wax before i applied it on my car. I do about 90 miles a week on the freeway so i get alot of chips from rocks and thought this would help prevent that. But what are you experiances with them good bad? And if all goes well do any of you know a good website to order one from??

A bra will do both of what you asked. It will help protect the nose from rock chips and it will damage the paint.

have it done professionally though, nd make sure they clean the car real good before it goes on. and this stuff should also prevent paint from fading to much. and of corse you can kinda see it, but it's better than looking at a stone chip.

yes protects the paint that it is covering but in time when it fades u will notice the difference

 

I've had a bra on mine for over a year. Thing is, it well do everything that has been mention if you don't take care of it.A lot of people put it on and never touch it again until it's starts the tear. Of course in time in will fade your paint. But if you take it off when you wash or waxthe car, take it off if it gets wet in the rain and don't putit back on until it's dry and it will work for what you want it for. Plus I take mine off every so often just for the hell of it.

 

Personally I don't think that the bras look bad on most cars. If you do get one get a nice one from Year One or RK Sport. There is no getting by it. If you put on a bra it will leave scratches no matter if you take it off from time to time.

 

i agree with the comment earlier about real cars don't wear bras, personally i think bras make the car look like crap....my buddy had one on his 87' and when he took it off the paint had faded and just looked like garbage...
