Default Shift Kit Install

has anyone ever installed a transgo shift kit into a 1995 camaro with the transmission still in the car. we are currently doing it and are having problems getting the servo out because there is only about an inch of room between the tranny and the car. so we might have to take a bunch of parts off just to get the servo out. can anyone help us out? and how many washers would u guys recommend putting into the kit i was thinking 2 out of 3. 1=Crisp shifts 2=Street/Strip 3=FULL RACE

There is a trick to getting it out. You pry the servo cover in with a screwdriver, against it and the trans tunnel. Then remove the snap ring with a small screwdriver, and the cover will move out a little. You should see a rubber o-ring through a slot at the bottom. Grab onto the o-ring with a small screwdriver and pull it down and out of the slot while turning and wiggling the cover off with a pair of pliers. Pulling on the o-ring stretches it out, loosening it's grip, and allows the cover to come off. If you go to the TransGo website, you can download an installation video which may come in handy.
