Default Several Questions 94 Z

Couple of general questions. 1). My 1994 Z-28 convertible has an annoying steering wobble most noticeable on dirt roads with small pot holes. I know the 4th gens are not the best when it comes to steering issues, but is there an adjustment or something I can do to "tighten up" the steering ? I'd consider a manual rack if they make one. I had the ball joints checked and they are OK. 2). Where can I get a 1994 Camaro Sales brochere ? 3). Need to replace the shocks. Can anyone recommend a "affordable" pair (4 corners) ? Id like to stiffen up the car a little and would prefer a pre-assembled coil/shock for the front, so I can do it myself. Thanks

Wobble are come from any front suspension component or even wheel bearing and the rack itself. You do not want to throw parts at it,, you want to find a play. Now after saying that the 94 has a weak spot, there is a rag joint that connects the steering shaft to the rack. This rag joint is subject to age and heat, Headers will really speed up a failure but time can do it also.

It can be tuff to tell the difference between a sloppy rack and a bad rag joint. I would do the rag first

You can find the brochures on eBay all the time. They vary in price and shipping.

Yes, tie rod ends checked out OK by a professional licensed mechanic. Thanks for the tip.
