Default Security System Shutting Down Car

I am having issues with the cars security system. When I try to start the car.... the car will start, run for about 5 seconds, then shut off due to the security system. I have had this problem before, and i would just use the remote for my cars system and it would start the car and everything would be fine. but.... now the remote wont do anything. oh and the car has a viper alarm system installed by previous owner. any hints would be helpful. I think it is because the cars original key with the chip in it is not the one in the steering column. I have been using the new key since I bought the car about 8 months ago... its weird that this is just happening. I think what I can do is use a volt meter to find the resistance of the chip in my key and make my own "relay" with the same resistance... I will try that tomorrow. We will see what I can find out. Thanks for reading.

The VATS is causing this. I would look into the remote start or aftermarket alarm system for the culprit.

I got it fixed.... It was the VATS system. I just put a resistor in place of the key. and no. i bought it back in june. had it since then.
