Default Security Light, Staring problems!!!!

Ok today the car ran fine and I parked it and it wouldnt starts anymore. The security light stays on always while driving. So now when I start it nothing happens at all no lights come on the dash except the security light, it doesnt bink it just lights up. The bcm is reading the resistor because I bypassed the sterring column and connected it below the steering wheel.

what yr and model? depending on the yr i believe theres a enabler for the ignition under the dash on the door side of the glove box. check your fuses under the hood in the black box on the driver side fenderwell and on the side of the dash by the driver side door. if u have a bcm then its a newer model and u may not have a enabler. if u dont have one get a repair manual, preferably dealer service/shop manual for your yr and model. only way to go.

Its a 2000. The security light stays on in the acc. also. No other warning lights come on when I try to start the car. The security light just stays on

clean the key and dry it good, if not try another key, and make sure that little pebble is in the key

Your "VATS" chip, on your Key, may be worn and no longer giving the proper resistance to the ignition.

If the resistor went bad would it cause the dash warning lights to stop falshing? at first when I had the wrong resistor the dash warning lights would flash and the security light would flash for three mins and I could try a new resistor.

ooh, on that week that work the light was always on? it is because the resistor its a little diferent from the resistor in the key if u have a multimeter see check for the exactly resistor it needs, well here are the procedures for the diagnosis
