Searching for discontinued/hard to find parts
I've been "rehabbing" my 95 to fix some things up, and be able to drive it every once in a while again. I've been completing a lot of maintenance and replacing parts, and so far I've done pretty well finding some smaller things at local salvage yards.
There are a few things I haven't been able to get though, and it seems that a lot of parts are long discontinued by GM.
I'm kind of an "original equipment" kind of person, so the first thing I can't find is the air intake outlet duct push in retainer (GM part #12551599). No car I've seen has one anymore, and it's a discontinued part. I know it's not important.... I can hardly find a decent picture of one, and wonder if there is something else that would be a pretty close match.
Also, I wouldn't mind having an OE Bose CD. My car came with a tape/radio when I bought it, then I tried the aftermarket CD thing and hated it. Right now I have a 97-02 Delco CD in the car, but it doesn't look quite right and would fit better in the later revised interior. I haven't seen any 93-96 cars with an original CD, and I've only seen a few decks online for north of $200. Meanwhile, the 97+ CD like I have seem to be a dime a dozen.
Also, is there a database or something to look up and match original GM part numbers?

must be the 3,4l engine there becoming a minority as the 3.8l took over in 96 unless it was a cally car they were only a 3 year run, an that was the only car they ran them in ,the 3800 could be found in like 18 different cars, alot of guys comeing hear about discontinued parts for those cars, haveing a parts car is what alot of guys do
