Rusty battery/coolant reservoir area

Rusty battery/coolant reservoir area
I've removed the battery/tray and coolant reservoir while doing some other work, and I noticed some rust around that area. I have a picture below...the engine compartment is in pretty good shape on my 95 overall, but this section has peeling paint and rust.
What should I do with this area? Is a simple sand/prime/repaint the best course of action? My car is silver, so I assume the engine compartment is the same paint color as the overall car?

I had this problem and mine was from the battery leaking. I took baking soda and water to neutralize the area, then primed and painted with touchup spray paint from the auto supply store. It was a pain, but I taped off the surrounding areas to limit the overspray. When I was done, you couldn't tell it had been repaired.

I figured that's what should be done. I've sanded off a lot of the peeling old paint. I guess I could prime it with some Rustoleum "Rust Stop" spray. Was it something like Duplicolor spray that matched pretty well?

Yes, my car is artic white, so there was no problem with matching. I sprayed three or four light coats about fifteen minutes apart. Let it dry overnight and put it back together.

Are you talking about BGM0340? The GM Silver Metallic?
I found that, but that is down as being GM-9021, which matches the Corvette in '96, but not the Camaro. Oddly enough the Camaro is a different number.

Look at the service sticker on the driver door for the paint code. I believe you'll find the number 9566 which is a DuPont number for Sebring Silver. The GM code should be 13U. I was able to find a chart for Dupli-Color touch up paints, but it doesn't show a product available for that color. You may have to use something that's as close to the original as you can get. Where you're using it, is going to be pretty much covered by the radiator overflow bottle and won't be noticeable after putting it back together. I've attached the GM portion of the reference chart, double check to see if I overlooked the 9566 number. I'd be willing to bet that DSGM340 will be very close.

Thank you for the help.
Should I just go with the BGM0340, or I've seen some places selling this:
TOUCH UP PAINT FOR GM COLOR CODE WA9566 BRIGHT SILVER , 1 OUNCE BOTTLE. | eBay
Supposedly the right color. I could thin that and use my airbrush to do this instead.
