well i built my car and just got to the point where i can start it. Im having a few problems. One being the only way i can get the starter motor to turn over is to jump it at the starter. This will start the car easily with no problem. But when i turn the key nothing.... The clutch switch wires are not even getting power to them. Second it will only run for about 5 seconds. this is because it is running out of gas.the fuel pump was for a v6 and now it has an lt1 in it, but i think it should still idle. I believe there is something wrong with the VATS because that is the only thing that would interupt the starting and the fuel pump not giving it gas correct? I did do nothing the the VATS other than replace the relay because i thought that may be my problem. The car ran fine with the v6. If you can help i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

 

Did you change the computer?

 

yes i did. it has the z28 computer in it.
