Oh I was not saying that RS = V6. I was saying RS was only available on V6...at least I thought. Sorry for the confusion.

And tomorrow I will try to take a good pic and post it up of the RPO codes...I really don't feel like typing them up.

 

Um, there wasn't a Z28/RS or SS/RS in the 4th gens, so the RS package would = V6. The only other camaro's with gfx's was the appearance package and the F1 package.

 

How could an RS = a V6 when there was NO RS for some years? People assume they have a V6 so automatically it is an RS, and it is not the case.

 

all 4th gen RS cars are V6s. not all 4th gen V6 cars are RSs.

Yeah, I love to see cars badged as RS's that have obviously never had gfx's on them.

I was wondering if RS added anything other than the gfx/body kit. Cause if you could get the RS package but then delete the gfx than what was the point in getting the RS in the first place?

And now I'm wondering how the Camaro RPO codes site says that the "GU5 Rear Axle Performace package (Z28 only)" is Z28 exclusive when it is on my car.

I'm just trying to know my car a little better.

 

You can get the RS without the GFX. RSSS_Camaro's car was just that. There is a RPO that designates GFX delete, RS PKG. When he asked the dealership about it the guy said it could have only shown up as an ordered car and he had to make a special request to remove the GFX. The car used to have the RS badges, and he has all the other RS options like the handling package, leather and all power.
