Rookie Mistake....
Well as the title states, It was an honest mistake. I had noticed my car was leaking coolant and I was pretty sure I had found the source of the leak (or at least where it was collecting and dripping off of the frame of the car) so I pulled it up onto the ramps set my jack stands (my ramps are old and I don't trust them for to long of a time) and started searching around. Though as is always the case with me I can never get what it is I'm looking for to happen while I'm looking for it. I got out from underneath the car and was about to back it off the ramps when I got a phone call, after hanging up i got back in and backed off the ramp. you observant readers should note I missed one very important step, the jack stands were still under the car. It might not be the the smartest way but let me tell you, breaking off the radiator pet **** is the fastest way to flush your system. I had what seemed to be 2 or 3 gallons of coolant on my garage floor in about 30 sec.
Sorry for the long story, but i figured it make some one feel better about their day. and for any one wanting to give me a hard time, I already felt like an a huge idiot so I don't need your help haha.
This brings me to another point... is there an interest in a radiator replacement write up? I could do one. ( though I suggest you find a different means of draining your system.)
Some pics wil be up soon

well lol, we like anything with lots of pictures. and its always better to have extra stuff to hold the car up. even if sometimes we forget to remove safety stuff its way better than forgetting to put them there in the first place. by the way photobucket works great. open free account, download pictures, copy img code to your post and pictures will show. oh and size the pictures 640 or so on the big side.

Thanks for the photobucket tip I'll do that and yea better safe than sorry, but man i was kicking myself last night when it happened. I'll start taking pictures and do a write up, IM sure it will help some one at some point.

aw man i feel for you. but like crabman said, it's better to have that extra safety in place then not. i've seen a lot including guys using a backhoe to lift the front of their powers#@*&@ in the air so they could walk under and work on it.
the more info you can share on here, the better off everyone is

Haha touche, I guess I could do a write up on how to properly remove jack stands before backing off the ramps.
And once i got the radiator out I noticed that there seemed to be epoxy around the base of the petcock (or at least what was left of it...) so i think what happened is some one tried draining the radiator at one point and cracked it, so they epoxied it to seal it up, but that started to leak. SO it would have been replaced sooner or later, i just choose the fast route
