rocks in engine

Is the check engine light on? Could be: octane knock, if your knock sensor isn't working, or possibly a rod knock.
Given the (holy cow) miles on the engine, I'm leaning more toward a rod knock.
Can you make a video of the noise?

Is that the video quality that makes it sound like a watery, putt-putt, squirty, slapping noise?
Sorry, but I'm afraid it sounds like your engine has a bad case of diarrhea.
I can't make that out as a knock, but that might be a sound issue.

the noise sounds like a partially clogged iac motor, or the alternator. does the noise get worse with more throttle, hot/cold, reverse/drive? given the mileage i would consider yourself very lucky. if its all original, i think gm has a program where they honor the owners of vehicles with 250k with all orginal powertrain

Pull the belt and run the car for a few seconds and see if the noise goes away. Sound like the bearing in the woter pump or power steering pump are shot. Could also be the timing chain slapping.

Actual I listen to the clip again and I am leaning more towards timing chain. It seems to do it mostly on deceleration . That would indicate timing chain. Do you have access to a stethoscope is not use a long screwdriver and set it on the timing chain cover and put your ear to it and compare that noise level to the side of the motor. If it is like X5 louder that’s it.
