Road trip!!!!
I am planning a road trip in the future. This coincides with getting a new car... So, how comfortable would an LS1 'vert be on a LA to NYC roadtrip? And should I go A4 or M6? Thanks

I did a 27-hour drive from Alberta to Missouri, in a 2008 Cobalt. Wasn't too bad, if you like driving
Buy the car for what you want out of it; you'll be driving it after you're done this road trip, right?
That said, I'd be taking it for an inspection or something before you just up and head out with it. 's a long distance to drive and you don't want to get caught in the middle of nowhere with something gone wrong.

Nice, I'd like to go on another, but with my Z this time . Last time was Chicago to Toronto/Mississauga in an '05ish Kia Spectra M6, lotta fun but yah staying awake for 12ish or so (cant remember exactly how long) hours driving is kinda hard

Ehh, I drove 18 hours in one day. Wasn't so much an issue of staying awake for me. I made sure to stop every couple hours either for gas or for a break, had plenty to drink with me and had something to eat every time I stopped. And for the actual driving I had the good music, the scenery, and the lovely, lovely speed limits you guys get on the interstates.
I think I drove 80 the whole time I was in the states and it was legal most of the time. Our highways are set at 100 km/h and 110 km/h (62 mph and 68 mph) so it was quite nice to get to do a bit more.
And yes, if I do it again, I will be driving the Camaro instead. 10 mpg less isn't that big of a deal

I've done many trips from Florida to Michigan and back solo and non stop other than a stretch, coffee, gas, food etc.18-20 hours each way dependant on traffic.Cruzing through the mountains, over hills ,around curves t-tops off 65-85 mhp...priceless!!!

My wife and I bought a 95 vert on Ebay in AZ a few years back. Flew there from NE, picked it up sight unseen, and promptly drove to the west coast, through UT, NV, CO, & back to NE. We both agree that we could road trip anywhere in complete comfort. We added an XM radio, a GPS, and as much camping gear as will fit in that little trunk, and have taken trips to Graceland, The Corvette Museum, and the Black Hills since. We have a ball and are always comfortable. We have the top down as much as possible and just have a blast. It's my daily driver (except in winter snow), and our road car. I'm 60 and I could drive forever in our 95. Go enjoy!!! (Zion this year, BTW)

I've never driven more than 3.5 hours in a Camaro, but I've ridden shotgun longer. The bulge in the floor to clear the cat made my left leg hurt like crazy after a few hours, idk why.
