Default rims for 4th gen

so i just purchased a camaro a few weeks ago ..so far loving it, ofcourse, and ive noticed at higher speeds i get some vibration and ..well...thats just not good for anyone...so i swapped out the u joint and that didnt fix it (although it did have over 100k miles on it) so last night some of my buddies and i overhauled that differential (not as much fun as i was hoping) after doing all of that i noticed MOST of the vibration was gone....so we lifted the car up on the hoist to just make sure there were no leaks and turns out my rear right rim is bent...(looks asthough the old owners slid the rear end into a curb..****ers)...so im lookin for some decent rims peferably 17x9.5s ....anyone know of a good place to purchase rims on the internet....i dont wanna buy some genaric pos that an online store will say oh yea thats right these will fit your car!!!...lies so it would be great if i could get some input..thank you

Ebay is your friend but you should also check craigslist for any corvette take offs.

just don't buy any rims until you're sure they have the correct bolt pattern. you could find the bolt pattern for the Camaro online in like 2 minutes. it also probably wouldn't hurt to ask a professional at a tire store to make sure that the rims/tires you want to buy will fit before you buy them.

HOLY CRAP you're the first other person on here I've seen from WI!!! Sweet! What town? Don't worry, you won't hurt my feelings if you have no idea where Fairwater is.

If they list the rims as fitting your 98 Fbody then they will fit, or else they take them back. If you had a 97 or older, the rims for the rear would need to be opened 1/4 inch but that is a simple task to do either at a machine shop or yourself.

if you want new, at reasonable prices, oemconcepts out of sarasota florida is reasonable (on line and on ebay). Watch out for rim/tire combos that are used on craigslist. generally the seller thinks the tires have value and unless they are almost new tires, offer barely another $10 each for the tires because you'll probably end up replacing them.

So price out new rims that you like, such as Z06 rims or knockoffs of Z06 rims, and then look on craigslist and offer about 50-70% of what the new wheels would cost. If you want a full turn key, and can afford it, oemconcepts and a few others have full wheel/tire packages that cost less than doing it seperately.

And no, I do not work in the auto industry, just sharing my experiences
