Don't forget pulling the doors, the hinge area is tuff to get cleaned and scuffed off while its on the cars.

Changing colors during a restoration is easy but it will double the price/work of a base paint job.

It will depend on the system you decide to use and the gun you have. Your supply store is the best source for this info. You do want to make sure you have more then enough to do everything. Most guys that paint have a system they like the best.

I like black, but I hate paying for a color change. It is way more work.

Even if you change the red to make it look right you will still have to paint the jambs and the engine bay. The Red that GM uses on these cars is really bright and pretty when it is new and it is one of my favorite reds out there. I believe the paint code is 8555 (dont quote me on that it has been like 15 years since I was a body painter) The color should be BC/CC on the Camaro, you can check this by looking at your RPO sticker (in the glove box on 93-96 and door on 97+) if it says BC/CC #### then it was base clear. It says anything like DIS or EML then it is Dispursion Laquer or Enamel. If it is Laquer then you will need to use some sort of sealer on the paint before you shoot BC/CC or single stage enamel. Good luck with your paint job! We are painting my wife's car right now and even tho we are keeping it the same color and we have over 30 hours into it and we are no where near paint yet.
