Unhappy rebuild trany?

Ok, so finally i know what is wrong with my CAMARO!. ITS THE TRANSMISSION oh no...

About how much will it cost to get a rebuild trany? in Los Angeles?

Depends. What transmission? What year? V8 or V6?

between 500 and 1000. you can buy a whole new tranny for near that, so I wouldnt pay any more.

Imagine that. You took your car to ammaco and now you need a transmmision rebuild. Since they will be removing and installing the trans I would bet they are between $1500 and $2000.

where can i fix it cheaper?

if you type in rebuilt camaro trannys on google, it'll give you a bunch of warehouses that have tons of rebuilt trannys. they're about $1,000-$1,500

One way to reduce the price of a rebuild is to pull the transmission out yourself. Take it to be rebuilt then install it yourself. In your case thats not a good idea cause you really should have one person there with who has a clue during the install to make sure you don't damage the trans. Looking for the cheapest price on a tranny rebuild is not a real good idea. Their are a lot of places on a car you can cut corners and save money. Tranny rebuild is not one of them.
