After getting my new cam today I jump the gun at putting it all back togeather. I get 2/3 of the bolts torqued down to specs and the last one ends up snapping off inside of my brand new 260$ cam. My neighbor manages to get it out for me without drilling it and i go to the store and get 3 new bolts for it. The same thing happened. Im guessing theres something wrong with my torgue wrench.

Prior to all of this I raised the engine and replaced the oil pan gasket PITA. After i finally get the cam in without breaking the bolts on it I go to put the timing cover back on and i find out i get to go and wrestle with the oil pan again and take it off to put the damn timing cover back on.

Im really getting my @ss kicked with this project.

 

Look at it this way. By the time your done, you will be a pro. Practice makes perfect. I have found that planing out your steps before you rush into them helps in doing it again and again.
