The rearview mirror has three wires. I am trying to find out where they connect?
Wire colors are black, orange, and tan(biege)
Power
Ground
?
Thanks,

I'm sure basic ground is usually black or green to ground. Not sure, but look for a black wire being constant on the wire harness is how you read what wire is used for ground would be that color (black?).
So, once again, black is ground. Tan is who cares is you will know when you hit the switch up and down; the mirror goes X instead of Y so you switch the tan to read up and down tilt, not in and out is the x or y wires is I do not know which but with 3 variables you sure can cancel out one wire at a time is try that.
EDIT: Oh, my fault. I read electric mirror and now the rear view. So, is one the tint or night light for headlight reflection? Again, whatever options are on the mirror, will just read right or read wrong. You have a fuse to help with your mis-Q is short to ground. So one wire should tell you what options do what.

black should be ground, the other two should control up and down and side to side. u should get a shop manual for the car if u can afford. if not there are sites u can get the info from. alldata or mitchell have been mentioned on this forum. i have not used or looked for them though. i pick up the dealer shop manual whenever i get a different or new car. mines the 93 and its different in many ways to all the others so i would not want to use the info i have it shows different colors for each side. lt blue, white and yellow on one side and brown and white, red and white and grey on the other.

Is this an Inside (self-dimming) rearview mirror?
Or an outside (power) rearview?
I put a self-dimming ISRV in my camaro that had direction and temp display,
It would be helpful is you could tell us what kind/year vehicle it's off, or if its an aftermarket like Gentex.
