Default Rear sway bar on my 97 v6 camaro

When i purchased the car their wasn't nothing holding the sway bar up.its doesn't scrap the ground but i would like to but it back. I was told to get a linking kit but local stores didn't carry it...what size bolt does this require or do i have to actually by the link bushing kit

My '02 RS stock was 28mm front, 15mm rear, yours is probably the same...

Personally, I would be looking to upgrade your sways to at least 32/19 SS sways...

Upgrade would be nice but he needs to get this fixed ASAP. On cars designed to have a sway bar a broken link is considered a safety item. Camaros are notoriously loose in the back end, one without a sway bar would be much worst (have one side hooked up does nothting). The rear V6 rear links are VERY common items you need to go to a different parts store. Heck I think on the V6s the front and rear links are the same and I think the links are used 1982-2002 in the rear. You do not what to just try to bolt it up because you are missing some very important parts. The rubber bushings and the spacer/washers that goes between them is very important to how it works. You should be able to find the link for 10-15 bucks. On Ebay you can buy all the bushing and hardware for the rear sway for about $30.

Note if you have never driven your Camaro with a working rear sway bar you are in for a treat. It will handle 10 times better on a hard turn once this is repaired.
