Rear End Question

What kind of rear end does a 94 base camaro has? A 7.5 or 8.5?

Base Camaro rear would be a 10-bolt 7.625 dia ring gear. Most cases it is a open rear with a optional Limited Slip RPO G80. Gear ratio depends if a auto /manual 3:23/3:42.

its 7.5 aka 10 bolt. all 4th gens are stock but the traction control has a different wheel sensor setup.

The gears in a base Camaro would be 3.08 for an auto and 3.23 for a T5 I think.

93 has a 273 and 323 listed. if u can find the rpo codes (sticker in the glove box) the 273 is gu2 and teh 323 is gu5, 342 is gu6, dont know what the 308 is.

Oh its manual so like blackz87 said it should be 3.42.

to the best of my research the 3.08 rear was used in 95-02 3.8L (L36) equipped with an auto tranny. The 3.4 had different gears with an auto, but I cant remember off the top of my head
