Hi all, I`ve just joined the forum.
I don`t have a Camaro yet but theres a (slight) chance I may get one soon.
Anyway I`ve seen a 97 SS for sale. It`s in the anniversary colours and interior etc., though I don`t know if it`s an anniversary model 4 sure - are all 97 models anniversary models?
Can anyone tell me the build info from the vin number or if not tell me where I can find out from - as it`s not that easy finding out info on American cars here in the UK. I`ve done a vin decode on the simple stuff like where it`s made etc., but I`ve heard u can tell the options and model etc. from the last part of the vin.
The Vin is: 2G1FP22P6V2125014.
Also I know value is mainly in the condiiton of a car - but is there much difference in the value of say a standard 96 z28 compared to a 97 ss or anniversary model in similar condition. I just like the look of the car - but don`t want to get carried away and get ripped off!
Cheers,
Dom

Call SLP Performance and give them the VIN, they can tell about the car as they are ones woh built them. Google SLP for the number. The 97 SS do hold thier value ok but there is no real value differance between a 97 Z and a 96 Z, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. These are not collector cars and probably never will be, there was simply too many of them made.
