Default Ram Air?

I have a 2002 SS Hood on my 93 Z28, so I want to make use of the hood and put a ram air kit into the car, but I can't find much on doing this. In the SS Camaro's it seems like they have an Air Box of some sort.

Sorry for sounding like such a newb, I'm so beyond confused right now. [:@]

I'd assume that the 98+ hood scoop would be close enough to the same placement of the 93-97 SS hood scoop. So, it should work with your hood.

You aren't going to get any HP out of the ram air setup over your current CAI. Ram air isn't functional until you're doing a minimum of 75 mph, and it really doesn't become effective until you're doing over 100. The Ram air doesn't help any in a 1/4 mile at all.

while, its not technicly Ram air, It does driect colder air to the box. Has anyone just made a vent out of it so it just venting cold air on the engine?

There is a slight problem with the louvres in the hood getting heated up by the motor though, and then the cool air gets heated and it doesn't matter anymore. I still attest that it's not going to help over a CAI because the CAI sits in front of the tire under a splash guard(at least for an LT1), so it's getting outside air all the time.

What confused me was it says it's for 94-97 models, will it fit a 93?
