OK, senior moment here! Bought this '02 35th Anniversary coupe several months ago and the radio won't shut off when I shut off the car, open the door and get out, and I'll be damned if I can figure out why! I know it's bound to be something simple, but.............Ya know getting old sucks sometimes!

 

Normally, engine/IGN on, radio plays. Park, engine off, IGN off, radio on, open door, radio off. Could be a stuck relay for radio power.
Does radio ON/OFF **** work?

Over 40 Thing does kick in alot.

 

The Body Control Module is suppose to supply the power for the radio for 10 minutes after the ignition switch is turned off or until the door is opened. If the power windows also operate after ten minutes have elapsed or the door has opened, I would suspect the BCM.

 

Yeah, radio ON/OFF **** works fine. That's how I have to turn it off every time.
