this may sound dumb or idk, i was just wondering, when upgrading a cam into an lt1, do you run into any problems with the opti? being that the opti is run directly off the cam?

no problems, opti just has its own bucket of issues.

lol i knew that, i hate that stupid thing....im surprised mine didnt take a dump when i had the problems with my water pump and that little bearing on the camshaft

You need to make the drive pin on the new cam the same length as the one on the old cam.
