I just installed this electric seat track on my driver side manual leather seat. Everything went fine except for one thing......It looks like I have to cut a slit in the side bolster so the electric control module will slip into the cushion. I'm a little nervous about ruining my leather. Does anyone have any tips about how to do this or if it has to be done at all? Thanks in advance for your help!

 

well you have an opportunity to put it wherever you like. look around and see if there is a better spot that will work. could mount inside the console or on the shift plate or the side of the console. would have to extend the wires.
