Default Put Yourself In My Shoes.....

Ok-You have approximately $8000 and want your first Camaro (over a TA).
SS or Z28?
How many miles is too many? - What's the cut off for buying?
What year?
What engine?
Dual Exhaust? - Come w/it or put it in after buy?
Automatic or Manual? (I think auto)

I only can afford $8000 remember and I want a nice FAST one..... Thanks!

Any ideas on the best place to go to get a loan? - Also, how hard is it to get a loan for $8000 when it's only you?

It is going to be a tight squeeze, but I would try to get a plain Z28 with an LS1 engine, meaning a 1998 with a 305 HP rating. Kelly BB shows them going between $8000 & $9000 retail, so you can probably do better. Mileage is not much of a deal if the car was properly maintained, but try to stay below 100K. I would also stay away from a heavily modded one, as most likely it led a rough life. Make sure everything you want to work, works, and the car is not worn out.

Ok thanks alot. Cause the one I was looking at was a 98 Z28 for $8000 but it had 100,500 miles on it. 1998-2002 Z28's that are around that price range are real hard to find where i'm at.
