whats this vented optispark? Starter? Also, by law dealerships are supposed to inspect the car themselves and make sure everything is in working order and repaired. Other wise its a penalty of the lemon law isnt it?

Even if you buyan earlier 4th genfrom a dealership? I thought they had to inspect all the cars on thelot before they could legally sell them.

Dealerships have no more obligation than a private seller when it comes to a car that old. There should be a form in the window that has "AS IS/NO WARRANTY" on it. That form absolves them of all liability. If you really want the car take it out and go by a mechanic you trust and have him look at it. It'll cost you a few bucks but if you are really interested in the car it will be money well spent. Also as far as your inspection is concerned most dealerships have technicians who are certified vehicle inspectors and will pass the dealerships car regardless of condition. If you really want something to keep that will be worth the most money try to by an anniversary edition (87,92,97,02). I believe that all our Camaro's will go up in value but anniversary editions should go up most.
