There's a chance that I might kill the 10 bolt, though I don't see it happening until I get a better clutch and stronger tranny.

Did I miss the part about the rockers?
I'll be using the stock stamped rockers, I can't afford the $400+ yella terra rollers, maybe someday.

Mounted my wideband today, cost: free. I couldn't get the paint to adhere right, so I just attacked it with a scotch-brite wheel. 3rd pic is the rims I picked up, next is the block obviously, though that balance shaft is gone forever. Then some parts pics.

I did have plans for boost, but I opted for building a durable engine instead. The boost plan died when I found that I would have to half-*** the build to stay in my budget.

lol, yeah, tight budgets suck.

On the good side though, I just ordered some Hoosier drag radials from Summit. I'm trying very hard to find some skinnies for those rims I bought before next weekend. It's the Chevy Showdown at woodburn, and a lot of v6 guys from around the west are coming (supercharged bonnevilles, GP's, etc.) I've also been working on my tune, MAF tune will be done monday (if I have time). I'm expecting to sink lower in the 14's how I sit, since I'm going to be replacing a lot of stuff, I'm going to run the snot out of it. I'll get a vid of it if I can. I'm interested to see how hard I can come out with sticky tires, these 4.10 gears might get their chance to shine finally.

Scratch that, changed the order to MT drag radials at the last minute. Also ordered some skinny tires, the rims will be painted black to hide them. They don't match, the black will make it less noticeable.

Also found teal engine paint today, I'm gonna grab a can and see how close it is to my paint. If it's close, I'll paint my engine bay satin black, and the engine teal and silver (or silver and black it it's way off)

Next weekend I get my core heads, and will send them off to abbott racing heads, oil pump cover has been sent off for machine work already. Rotating assembly goes to the shop to get balanced this coming week. I've got my cam specs figured out as well, it'll be a custom grind, sort of like a gt3 cam that married an ARH NA cam.

In a couple weeks, things will start moving fast, I've got the money to finish this in my checking account now. With my tires, 13's will be cake to get.

Yup, I'm cutting it close. But I got half the wheel/tire mess done so far, just waiting on the skinnies.
