problem with my 96 z28 lt1

Default problem with my 96 z28 lt1

i have this wierd peanut butter lookin stuff in one of my valve cover's but not the other so does anyone have any ideas?

thats from oil and water mixing, the water is usually from moisture when its in the valve cover. Do you have a breather from one cover and not the other?? I'd only worry a lot if that peanut butter sludge was in my coolant! lol

I'd clean as much out as you can and give the car a good service, oil change and filter and then see how it goes. How often do you change the oil??

^^^x2 and do a pressure test on the cooling system and see if it will hold pressure.

i just bought the car and did it myself after i ran some seafoam through the oil to clean it up some but now it has a little bit of white smoke commin out the back sometimes...

i have another problem too my blinkers work but not when i step on the brakes. any ideas?

white smoke coming from your exhaust; water intrusion detected in your oil.

I believe you know what's going on.

It's not a big deal, it's just going to take time (and money depending if you want to take advantage of the down time) as long as you have tools.

Now's a good time to decide if you want to freshen the top end, upgrade the cam, since you are going to take off the heads. Maybe also add some headers.
