problem and i am not happy

Exclamation problem and i am not happy

i got in my 96 z28 auto turn the key and wont start. my security light is on i got power cuz i can listen to my radio i then disconnected the battery and hooked it up 30 mins later same so now what i have been layed off so i cant take it to a dealership cuz the two closes ones close up about a year ago and i have no truck or trailer

It's great to see all the support from everyone on this site !! I have alot to learn about Carmro's and enjoy reading how to trouble shoot problems. Thanks craby and 95slvrZ28 for taking time to help !!

No problem CNCman...not sure why you didn't use your thread, but we're happy to help out...*shrug*

94: I agree with Craby, sounds like a VATS issue. You can either follow the thread Craby posted (which I need to go clean up...) or get your VATS resistor pellet replaced in your key. The first option is much cheaper...

ALRIGHT! The LT1 sticky is all cleaned up etc. so now you can just click the links again!

We had the same problem a couple months back and it turned out to be bad key. Cost around $30 for a new key. If you have to have key made, at least here in TN, you will have to take registration of car for dealership to see along with your drivers license.
