Power steering pump help.

Default Power steering pump help.

2000 camaro 3.8 have put in 3 power steering pumps they all whine really loud new rack and pinion didn't have whine old pump started going replaced it with 2 from autozone and the last one is a reman from ac delco all 3 whine no air bubbles no air in system replaced high pressure hose and suggestions ?

i went through 3 for my 93 z28 before i got a good one. far as i know they are the same. one part of the relief valve is the casing and it wears the casing causing it to leak by when its not supposed to. cant get new ones anymore, they are all rebuilt so getting a good core seems to be harder and harder all the time.

you may want to install a cooler on it after you find a good one. what i did.

Thanks for your reply I was thinking maybe just try find an oem with low Milage at jjunkyard or on eBay and do you know where I can get a cooler ?

some of the newer, 2000-02 i think, camaro's have them, my 2000 v6 doesnt so it may be the ls that does. anyways small transmisson cooler will work. im thinking i got a derale 13212 power steering cooler
