'97 Z28 30th Anniversary. Only mod is the SLP intake, which the filters need cleaned in a bad way, soon as it warms up! Just bought it about a month ago. 110K miles on the odo. First tank with 93 octane was 19. Second tank with 87 was 18.5. The valves started pinging so I had to add octane boost about 20 miles into the tank. Never again. Premium only! Granted these were new toy, take me for a ride miles. Hasn't been over 4500 rpm's yet. Before we were introduced to corn in the gas, my '07 Grand Cherokee 6 banger got 21mpg to work and back. Now it's a struggle for 17.5....

Buuuuuut, most of that was A: Driving like a maniac (see thread of spinning the tire) and, B: 50% of it was only on 5 cylinders, which cannot be healthy for it.

Plus I still have not put my inner fender covers, air dam, and all those plastic parts back on the bottom. Should be a little more slick once I do.

 

Recently I got 17.5 and I was driving how I wanna drive haha. I just put on some Granatelli plug wires I'll see if that boosts it at all the next tank of gas...

So, the 3.4 might be a dog, but it is capable of decent fuel economy...
