The rubber boot looks a bit reduced in size, and it appears to be getting squashed.

got my new BMR shock tower brace, i have to bend my transmission dipstick up or down in order to check it haha

I think it made a difference, personally. After the Intake and the performance chip, I did 293 miles on my tank , mix of Highway and street miles, never really did that on stock on this car :/ , so I think its worth it

I just cant see spending that kinda money for that though lol. I just got 328.8 miles to my tank today

A cold air intake has the filter sucking in outside air below the fender panel where the old air box was. And it would be sealed off from the engine compartment. Your filter is taking in engine compartment air & heat. You essentially have a hot air intake, not cold air. If the intent was to have a cold air intake, then yes, it was installed wrong. But from the looks of it, that's how the one you have was designed.

Niether. The setup in it of itself is poor. The air filter is directly exposed to the heat of the engine
