yeah thats what im staring to think happened, ive noticed im leakin trany fluid so can i replace the tail housing to solve tha problem?

u should be able to but make sure theres no more cracks in the housing.

im just now fixing to take the housing off but i cant really find to much about the removal or installation what all is involed

get a sevice manual for your yr and model. this is for a 4l60 but should be similar.

You didn't mess up the rear end flange? Did it spread when the driveshaft went? Do you have a one piece driveshaft or one that has the 2 piece?
