Default Please Help! Subs Not working.

I have a 2002 Z28 with the monsoon audio system. The subwoofers (which I think are actually speakers) turn on and off. When I turn my car on sometimes the subwoofers will work, and when they do work it's for a few days. The next time I go to my car and turn it on, they don't work... and that happens for a few days. And it keeps going back and forth like that. When they aren't working, I can put my ear next to them and I can hear bass, but really quiet. I checked the connections on the amp and behind the deck. Everything is stock, I have not changed anything. Please Help!

Are the speakers in the rear seat position, factory or aftermarket?

1 output can go bad. Also the wiring could be demanding to low of an ohm.

Doesn't the amp power all the speakers? Everything else works.

The only output is a single plug that goes to all the speakers. You think the wiring would be messed up from the factory?

there is a chance that a wire has been rubbing on something or just plain placed wrong... i have replaced lots of O.E. style componantsand repaired lots of wiring, due to a manufaturer error.

Ok, so how would I find the problem? I don't think I can check all the wiring. Thanks for the help.

The amp is located behind the spare tire. It is a little black box. You have 6 different channels tweeters, subs and mid range left and right each. You can lose one channel and have the rest of the amp still work just fine. The amplifier chip or any of the other chips can break free of the board and cause this problem. It may just be easier to get a new amp.
