Unhappy Please Help Me..

Okay, so about 4x4 days ago I cleaned my MAF and after that my CEL went away and my car drove like a dream. I got in my car this morning and it started to do the exact same thing as before. Could that mean my MAF is bad or do I have another problem?

Do you have a screen on your MAF?

Yeah, I didn't want to take the risk.

good

That screen is not there to block debris from getting into the MAF, the air filter is supposed to do that. The Screen is there to act as a wind tunnel and give the air going through a uniform direction so the sensor gets max air exposure and no swirling eddys that could mess up the correct readings.

What did you clean the MAS with? I had always used a type of carb cleaner then learned that this type of product can damage the filament and cause a malfunction. Either a low pressure compressed air or that compressed air in a can for electronics should do the trick.

I used an electric plug cleaner for car plugs and sensors.
