Cant seem to get my car pic to come up when i write someone i checked all my settings.....can someone help...not good at this computer stuff LOL!!

use photobucket and then sent the link to the image you want some one to see. There simple as that! Photobucket is free which makes it even better

Are you talking about the avatar beside your username? If you are, go under the 'User CP' menu and click on 'edit avatar' on the sidebar. You should be able to upload a pic there.
