You can, but it won't get you any real benefits.

"Up to 50 hp!"

That is BS. You won't get any HP from it. Get the car tuned if you want to get some results.

What year V6? Easiest and some of the more affective mods are: headers, catback and CAI. They are all pretty easy and net good gains. S/C a 3.8 is just about out of the question unless you are willing to fork over some serious money and have some real good fabricating skills.

That isn't a supercharger, it is a fan lol. There is a couple stickies on this site that has information that is worth looking over. Summitracing.com, slponline, lmperformance.com are all good sites to order from.

1996+ cars do not need to be "chipped" since they have a program that is saved in writable memory similar to SD cards used in cameras. You bring it to a dyno and they can read your param file and save it as a back up, then get your car out on the dyno and see what it can do. Based on your mods the tech puts in new settings for the params file and your car now runs with those settings. You may get some gains and maybe not that is why you saved the factory profile. Now once the car is dialed in you save that file as well just in case. At the end of the day it is a much simpler process than the old fashioned way of removing the chip and putting it under a UV light to erase the program then use a special machine to rewrite the new program. That method sucked ***** and took hours. Now think what happens if you get the settings wrong... yup no way to save the factory profile so you are screwed if you mess it all up.
