Default PCV

Hello.

I whant to plug the pcv system. The ide I have is to use some kind of catchtank instead of routing it to the intake.
The plan is to use a breather on the passengerside vavlecover, and then a pcv vavle on the driverside vavlecover ( i have aftermakert covers ) going to a catchtank. Then just plug the PCV "holes" on the intake.
Can it be done this way?
Is there any downsides of doing this?

Thanks for the help.

( sorry for the spelling, english is not my main language )

You need to go from the PCV valve to the catch tank, and from the catch tank to the vacuum side of the intake (engine side of throttle valve). The breather on the other valve cover will work OK by itself and you can plug off that air connection. Make sure the breather has a filter, otherwise it will be dispensing dirt into the engine.

The other downside is that you might not pass smog inspection.
