Im looking to get my hood and two fenders painted because the arizona sun fades the hell out of em. Was wondering if anyone had personal experience with maaco, Im on a budget but I dont want a **** job and have heard that they do a decent paint job. Also if anyone who lives in Tucson knows of a local shop that does a good job for a good price I would also be interested in them.

 

My wife had her car painted by Maco before we got married. I have only one word for you. Don't.

 

I have not had experiance with maaco , I do know a couple that have. One turned out ok for what it was , the other had nothing but issues and ended up getting it painted at a actual shop. I recently got mine painted and the problem I kept running into with body shops was they were not making enough off painting mine. That said the thing is they can make way more off a insurance job in the same amount of time so they just didnt want to fool with a simple paint job. Check with like tint shops auto accesories places they usually know of somebody that can do the paint and not break the bank. I had from the doors forward painted sebring silver metallic < stock color > it was sanded down , primered and painted for $400. The local bodyshops started at $2200.
