Default Paint intake?

When I get my car back I want to dress the engine up a bit. Could I paint the top of the intake black? I don't like the gray. So, basically what I'm asking is...what paint would I use and what would u have to do to actually get in there and do it?

yes you can paint the intake. best to use high heat engine paint. im very happy with the powder coat on mine but you have to take the intake off to have that done.

Take the upper intake off and clean it up with a wire wheel. Then give it a few coats of high heat paint like craby said or powder coat if you don't mind spending a few extra dollars.

Make sure you clean and prep it VERY well. The finished product can only be as good as the prep job.

I painted mine! I just used regular Krylon all purpose paint. It does not get hot enough on the top of the intake to worry about hi heat paint. So far it has been there since I did the engine about 6 months ago and still looks great.
