Default Overheating, head gasket

I have a 1995 Z28 that is overheating. I replaced the thermostat, so that's not the problem. AA guy I know who is a mechanic fixed a wiring problem with the cooling fans, so I know those are working. He checked the water pump and said that is okay. He said he thought it was a blown head gasket, but there is no white smoke coming out the tailpipes. At any rate, I bought and used bars leaks professional head gasket sealer. I followed instructions on box. After all this, the same problem. The car overheats, eventually temperature/pressure becomes too high and the coolant bubbles up out of coolant reservoir. Any ideas on what is wrong here? I was thinking that perhaps the radiator is clogged, in which case I could drain system and replace radiator? Thanks for any help/suggestions.

your not leaking coolant? if so air in the system will cause your issue. if not it could be radiator, yes i would take the radiator out and flush it out of car. if its full of gunk replace. also is your air damn in place? its the plastic scoop sorta looking flat piece of plastic under the radiator in the front.

You put that crap in your motor. That sucks. You can borrow a tool from the parts store and check the for a blown head gasket. That sealer crap can plug all kinds of ports up. Not to mention if the radiator was partially plugged before she is sealed up now. The only real way to fix a blown head gasket is to replace the gasket. Everything else is just parting you will your money.

Go to youtube and search "checking head gasket with a coolant pressure tester" and check with your local parts store for a loaner.

you need to drain the system of all the coolant ,flush as much of that crap out as you can out,check all the hoses for blockadge ,get hand help temp gauge or borrow one ,your fans should come on around 180 or higher an shut off around 150 160,have compatant mechanic check for leaks or head gasket leak ,it could be a very slow leak ,or plugged hose ,heater core should be checked too that bar leak stuff is for like leaks on cars that nothing else can be done ,if the car was not leaking you could have made it worse ,,one can feel when water is flowing through the top hose after you have gone through enough of this crap ,hardest part would be your heater core ,save that for last .but pull them all an check them ,.did you put the stock t stat in it,if the guy who rewired your fans ,said you had blown head gasket with out showing you how where an why ,i ?? that

His thermostat does not even open until 195 degs I am not looking at the book but the fan should kick on 225-235 degs. Kick off 210 ish.

I would love to know how he checked the water pump? he looked at it and said nope not leaking. Yup its turning.

inside the engine my reference is when useing hand held temp guage to the top hose is about 20 degrees lower like 195 higher or lower ,on the outside,yes he needs to make sure there is flow there,like on my 406 that how it reads on the temp quage its like on at 210 an off at 180
