OVERHEATING!!!!

Default OVERHEATING!!!!

Alright, I redid my brakes and had all of them done and right after I did them I noticed my cars temperature gauge is so high that it actaully passes the hottest temperatur marked!!! So I replaced my thermostat and figured that cold be the problem. So this morning Im like **** it Ill drive it to work. BAD IDEA!!!! I got home and I litterally thought I was gonna have to call the fire department or I figured my neighbor or someone was goonna call!!!! I need help and to narrow what could be wrong.....PLEASE HELP ME!!!! Whats happening is that my car is overheating and when I turn on my heat.....cold air just comes out!!!! Could this possibly be my radiator or something???

Your brakes aren't rubbing right? It seems like you have a coolant problem but doesn't the temp gauge read the temp of the coolant to determine engine temp? If there was no coolant it would have nothing to read. Maybe your fans aren't working(don't know how much that would really affect it).

sounds like it could be the heater core, i dont think your brakes have anything to do with it, when was the last time you had your coolant flushed and filled ? did the coolant overboil when it was that hot ? did you see any smoke ?
