lol, he mite also meen 800 after nitrous... but a nice TT setup on a LS1 could easily be 800 horse if built rite. but i gotta agree with the fish thing, lol.

 

In the city I pretty much keep my foot out of it. Most of the time when I come across these idiots in their ricers, orthe nicer carsit's out near this college on a four lane concrete strip that's has plenty of straight away. The one time I did race the T/A I mentioned, it was in town, soI never took it out of third. Glanced down and was scraping the 90 mark so I backed it off quickly, he did the same. As far as the going to the track, forget that. The nearest one is about 70 miles away and has a horrible safety record. I have friends that have had close calls and friends of friends that have lost their cars and nearly their livesdue to poor maintenance. Specifically, their sand pit not being raked down and hard as a rock and failure to clean up fluids on the track.

 

man, some streets around here are just wide open piggless roads that are waiting to be dragged on, or a ricer roll if they cant handle going from a dig. but there are some really good drag strips, or you can always drive up to the virgina internation raceway (VIR) and take your car for a spin. but thats a bit a ways from here but worth it, buddy of mine took his new c6 vette up there, pretty fun...there is a fairly big racing scene in my area or close to it, and it is dangerous, but its just an adrenalin rush, some people like playin in sand boxes, some people like street racing, its just a way of having fun if you ask me

Sadly, it's entirely true. Not only with the import crowd, but even within the realms of the Camaro community. You see, there are the retarded teenage kids with way too powerful Z28s under their feet and they believe the world is ready to bow to them. I've seen it happen all too many times... and it breeds huge egos and even bigger messes. If you want to race, bring it to the strip... where the men run them. Simple as. And meteorpal, there's a great strip in Sharpsburg, NC. Not entirely too far from Durham.

 

i think it is fun to drag every once in a while off of a stop light but after i kill the car i stop and the take off like they won? i hate honda civics...

 

I just wish I could find a road course rather than a drag strip. I'm not really that big into straight line speed. It's fun for a while, but there's nothing like the thrill of jockeying through the gears on a windy road.

 

Oh it will bow... it will bow... Im almost 18 and I drive my moms 03Suburban from time to time.. now that thing has way too much power [8D](i could only get the tires to chirp if i went from park revved it then drive and floored it.. But yeah, coming from the humiliating world of a 1998 V6 Mustang to a LT1 possibly LS1 will be a nice change... but I at least know how to keep my head..
