Default oil leaks

Tell me some places to check for oil leaking. It's not a major leak as far as quantity is concerned but I dont want to run the car until we can get some idea of what it is. Then it will head back to shop once again.

Summary of current issue, my oil pressure gauge had been running lower than the usual. Once engine was warmed up, it even flatlined. It was leaking/dripping etc on something that would cause some smoke after it all warmed up. We can't see anything actually dripping but I assume that it is somewhere. We wiped down in a lot of areas to see if maybe it would be wet tomorrow.

We thought maybe filter was loose but it wasn't.

It's the 3.4 v6. It's dry around the valve covers if that would be what you're looking for. (if it's visible)

Hey funny I just noticed you live in Greenville. Have you lived there this whole time? You've commented a lot on my posts in the past and we're basically neighbors

That does sound very possible. That's where the smoke was coming up from. Does this fit in with the pressure flat lining or possibly another issue? I've only had it back 2 weeks since this last shop adventure which took 4 weeks to completely rewire it. When I went to pick it up the guy who was doing a final drive in it to test things out comes back and says "is it normal for your speedometer to quit and the oil pressure gauge to flatline?"

He seemed to think I was taking it back in that condition. That ended up being something coming unhooked causing that. He had checked the oil pressure and it was actually normal then.

^^ agree, i have seen several oil pressure sensors go bad on here and they tend to leak and show low or no pressure.

thats exactly what happened to mine (3.4L) about 2 years ago, the sending unit went bad and was leaking pretty bad. had zero oil pressure at idle ad when i looked under the car i could see it leaking out pretty fast.

but he said its burning the oil, theres no way for it to get on the exhaust if its leaking from the sending unit.
