not to bad. getting it over the needles was the hardest part. taking the dash out just takes time. dont want to be in a hurry. pick up a factory service manual for yours. i got one on ebabe for 20 bucks and shipping. way better than any other books. heres one thats beat up, should be able to get one in new shape for 50

check your rpo codes. there in the glove box on a sticker. should give you an idea of why the speedo is 115. i think the codes definitions are in the how to and faq sticky. yep here it is https://camaroforums.com/forum/4th-g...o-codes-50977/

Will do on the service manual. Looks like it might have better info than my Haynes.
As far as the RPO codes go, I don't see anything explaining the 115 speedo. I see one for instrument cluster, and one for the speedo being in kilo's.
I do have codes that aren't listed on there. C9C, D3W, DBN, KG7, QMT, RBV, U82, 1AY, 6EH, 7EH, 8TF, and 9TF

the last four are computer selected. u82 is speaker system, qmt is tire size p235 55r16 n so factory tires are not z rated. kg7 is 125 amp alternator, d4w is speedo driven gear, there are three of these, d5r and d5x are the others, dont know what they mean. c9c is special black paint. others i dont have anything on. do you have mn6 or md8? im thinking you have a budget lt1 model or a fleet model. do you have electric windows and a/c?

+1 on the cluster and other indicators being a 93 only thing. I've seen it over and over on junkyard cars. Maybe I should grab one or two clusters to sell off if they're scarce. I kind of like the yellow thing but obviously Chevy got negative feedback on it since they switched to white for 94.
As for the speedo thing, both of the 93 V6 models that showed up in a local junkyard a couple of years ago had the 115 mph speedo.

I do have code MD8. Car does have power windows and a/c.
As far as the speedo, I'm wondering if someone switched it out at some point. I do remember when I got the car, the temp guage didn't work, but that was just the sensor in the block. The dash was pretty broken up, though I heard that's common. And when the engine was all torn down, nothing in the engine showed like it had a 110K miles on it, which is approx. what the odometer read. I'm thinking someone swapped it out since the temp guage wouldn't work. Dumb people did own it before me.

The car I have has the same 245/50/ZR16 rear tires that originally came on it. Crappy (or airplane gears as my dad likes to call them) 2.73 rear gears. Not sure on the driveshaft...never really bothered to look. Like the thread says though, it's really an oddball.
