No fuel pressure at the rail after new fuel pressure regulator install
#13
Thanks Craby, but that isn't what came out of the car. This regulator looks different, and reminds me of a thermostat.. then the original collar goes back on and it's tightened down. I'm baffled cause I KNOW I was certain to look where the o ring would go and didn't see it. Ugh I thought I had it figured out.

have you cleared the computer yet? if you have access to a scanner have it scanned for trouble code. computer may have shut down your injectors for some reason, pick up or borrow a noid light and see if the computer is telling the injectors to fire. 40 lbs should run the engine.

Thanks again, and only by the battery disconnect regarding the computer. Yeah I wondered about the injectors too, and whether or not the VATS shuts down the injectors or spark etc. I know I have spark cause the car would run with some good starter fluid and I tested the 3x crank signal and so on. The fuel going back to the tank makes sense, I mean for sure it's not making it past the shrader valve. Any idea where this O-ring is supposed to go on the fpr?? Or?? Makes me crazy I mean look at the thing where the heck does this O-ring go. haha

if the computer sees a flood issue and or a no start i believe it will shut injectors off, unhooking battery to clear computer might help. could do a reset and unhook both cables and touch together for a minute or two and hook back up. it will take some running for all systems to reset. idle and such will be messed up for a short time.
