Thats funny, cause my 06 GSXR 1000 will do 9.6s on streettiresall day with about 1000 bucks in mods. Then I ride it home. Im not bashing your car, I was just saying I would keep it stock. I would even put the stock wheels back on. Just my opinon.

When you start hittin those times, you need big power to go faster. My uncles truck has a prostock chassis, and was the #2 show truck in the country in the 80's. Has a custom built chevy based engine in it, but it's hardly chevy. And it is completely street legal, runs on drag radial. If you charge the battery good, you can go for a nice drive. Has plates and everything. My dad's bike is a straight six engine. The cylinders are at a shop getting bored for 72 mm forged pistons. With the new air shifter we just installed, we're hoping to get into the 8's finally. The engine has been bored so much that the original sleeves were pulled and the block was bored out, then new sleeves dropped in. Also, this honda was built in 1979. It's old, and fast. We have debated buying a Hayabusa, but those are like civics, they're everywhere. And by the way, $100 in mods is no reason to buy a V8.

So, back to the topic.....I dont dig the clear lens thing all that much. I do like the look of the hood stripes and I think the hockey stripes only look good on the 1st gens, just me though.

Yeah, the hood stripes are nice. I was hesitant about the lenses, wasn't sure about the responses I would get. The hockey sticks look great on the first gens, that I will agree to. I'm getting an idea about the move I'm going to take.

I personally like the hood stripes andI don't care much for the other stuff. It looks really clean so if it's not broken don't fix it IMO. I hope my future Z looks that clean . Maybe one suggestion... I don't know how you or other camaro enthusiast feel about this being a stupid import thing because I really have no ideabut with those nicerims painting your brake calipers might look good? Just throwing that out there []

I think some black hockey stripes would make you stand out from those other teal Camaros in your area. I'm not a big fan of the clear lenses though. I have kinda mixed feeling on inserts. They are a realitvely cheap appearance mod, its just that people already know that when they look at the car that its a Camaro. I'm gonna have to agree with Goofie on painting the calipers. If they aren't already zinc plated, painting them silver would look nice.

I plan on doing brake upgrades in the near future, but that isn't going to happen until I convert the rear to disk also. And they would be silver, yes. Oh, and the rims NEED to go. The tires are nearly bald, and the chrome is litterally peeling off the rim. It hasn't started on the outside yet, but on the inside, it's nasty. I'm going to replace both at once, but that's another day. Thanks for the input y'all

I would vote inserts from what you have but I would get a polished aluminum, they have them on ebay. They look nice, will keep looking nice, and mount flush. I agree about not putting stickers on the car it looks good as is, and clear lenses always look ricey to me, they always have a funny tint to them from the orange bulbs.
