I've always wanted a camaro, after having to get rid of my charger I found it a good time to get a camaro finally. After looking for months for a v6 4th gen (80 mile commute), 98-02 and multiple craigslistsflakesi took a look at one z28 and ending up loving it. Figured it would still get better mileage than my Sierra. And for some reason was $8 less than the v6 in insurance. Anyways its a 98 at with 145k. ClearlyI jumpedinto itfor4k. Aftergetting ithomeI started noticing thequirks, feel free to giveyour opinions on all or some.
When givingitgasfrom a stop there Is a clunk, I'm thinking Trany mount.
It leaks oil, I noticed a lot around the oil pan, even trans cross member. Rear main seal or oil pan?
Noticed it has green coolant, not orange Dex cool. Is this an issue?
Center consolelid missing, madeoneof wood and materialforthemeantime.
Plastic piece on the door above the panel is broken, can't figure out how to fix that.
Front speakers blown, replaced 4 wire speaker with a 6.5 and a tweeter.
One of the c5 wheels were cracked at the spoke. Couldn't find the v1116 replacement, only the kind with the dish.
***The rear end seems to look a little off center and the passenger side sags lower than the drivers... No lowering springs, what gives?
Anyone know where I can find 1" lowering springs? Also it has 17*9.5 fronts and 18*10.5 rears. Could I even lower it without major modification?

yep sounds like a trans mount.
yep or intake gasket
i won't use the orange stuff so green is good
check ebabe and wrecking yards
^^^ again
i replaced stereo and speakers added couple amps
not sure on wheel
4th gens set a tad lower on the passenger side, some say its to account for the driver weight. strano has some good 1.25 lowering springs, good idea to go with some good shocks if you lower. Strano Performance Parts - Parts Search

I'm just wondering if I can lower it 1.25" with the 17*9.5 and 18*10.5 wheels.

if the offset is right should not be an issue. check in parts manual, download here, click number 1 https://camaroforums.com/forum/93-02...o-specs-71052/ always easier to find a part with the part number, i think its a sail bezel
